Thank you for your interest in Fordham LC Mock Trial! Unfortunately, recruitment for the 2026-2027 year has ended. Keep an eye out on our socials to see all the amazing work we do this year and for updates on recruitment for next year, which will begin during Summer 2027!

Our Recruitment Process

Information Sessions.

The first week of classes, we host information sessions where you can find out all about our activity, how you can join, and where to sign up for a try out time slot. Anyone can come and you’re not obligated to try out if you decide it’s not for you! Look for us at Fordham’s club fair or follow our social media to find out when we’re hosting our next information session.

Experience a Direct Examination

Based on the information provided in the tryout packet you received after attending an info session, you will perform as a character and be asked questions as if you are that witness being directed by your attorney in round.

Argue a Point.

After the direct examination portion of your tryout, you will have roughly 2 minutes to perform a speech on your chosen topic. There are example topics provided in the tryout packet, but those are merely suggestions. We want to see how strongly you can argue a point, and how compellingly you do so.
